This client is a London-based scale-up with a digital services proposition who had recently received investment to fund a significant scale-up.
Their hiring plan was aggressive; it required them to recruit 70 roles within six months across the entire organisation.
Although the client had an internal HR team, they couldn’t take on this additional activity, so an internal recruitment specialist was initially hired. It quickly became evident that this person could not deliver the hiring plan on their own, and specialist recruitment support was urgently needed to ensure that the client could meet their commitments.
What was ipeopleHR’s role?
ipeopleHR provided recruitment outsourcing services in the form of On-demand Recruitment Services and quickly deployed a team of three recruitment specialists to this client.
Their role was to:
- Benchmark salaries for all positions to identify competitive salary bands.
- Review and tweak all job descriptions.
- Meet all hiring managers to understand the type of person required for each role and agree to the process.
- Produce detailed and bespoke Candidate Packs for all positions.
- Use HireRoad, their ATS (applicant tracking system) to advertise the roles and manage the recruitment process using the client’s branding, tone of voice and values.
- Sift through all CVs.
- Draw up a short list of suitable candidates for the hiring manager to select their first-stage interviewees.
- Write the interview questions and coach the hiring managers on interview techniques.
- Set up panels for second-stage interview
- Regularly check in with all hiring managers to ensure they were up-to-date with progress.
- Manage the vetting and clearance process.
- Provide feedback to candidates.
- Handle the initial onboarding activities:
- Negotiate the offer
- Draft and send out contracts
- Keep new hires warm before their start date
